Group Attacks Google Privacy, Schmidt with Times Square Ad
Chloe Albanesius PC Mag Friday, September 3, 2010 Just in time for the holiday weekend, a California-based consumer group has purchased space on a Times Square jumbotron to display a video that attacks Google chief executive Eric Schmidt and his company’s privacy policies. The effort is part of Consumer Watchdog’s “Don’t Track Me” campaign, which is pushing Congress to pass legislation that would create a list of consumers who do not want Internet companies tracking their online activities – much like the “do not call” list bans unsolicited telemarketing calls. “We’re satirizing Schmidt in the most highly-trafficked public square in the nation to make the public aware of how out of touch Schmidt and Google are when it comes to our privacy rights,” Jamie Court, president of Consumer Watchdog, said in a statement.

Conspiracy Theories Spread Violence, Claims Government Propagandist
Demos member who authored report calling for conspiracy websites to be infiltrated in order to “increase trust in government” tries to belittle online backlash, but only serves to reinforce the fact that Demos is a PR firm for the British state Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet.com Friday, September 3, 2010 One of the authors of a report which called for the authorities to infiltrate conspiracy websites in a bid to “increase trust in the government” has responded to an online backlash by claiming conspiracy theories, and not the government, are responsible for spreading lies and distrust which ultimately lead to violence. As we highlighted on Monday , a report published by the UK think tank Demos called The Power of Unreason encouraged the government to “fight back” against conspiracy theories by infiltrating websites in an effort to restore confidence in the state and discredit evidence of government complicity in the 7/7 and 9/11 terror attacks.
The True Cost of the War
Paul Craig Roberts Prison Planet.com Friday, September 3, 2010 Obama’s “end of Iraq war” speech must have shattered any remaining belief in him. Forced to appease both his supporters and the warmonger right-wing, who denounce him as a Muslim and a Marxist, Obama resorted to Orwellian DoubleSpeak. He could only announce an end to the war by praising the president who started it and the troops who fought it. Yet, as most earthlings, if not Americans, surely know by now, the war was based on a lie and on intentional deception.

Discovery Gunman James Lee’s Sordid Past as a Human Smuggler
RUSSELL GOLDMAN, LEE FERRAN, PIERRE THOMAS and JASON RYAN ABC News Friday, September 3, 2010 James Lee, the bomb-laden gunman who was killed by police in the lobby of the Discovery Channel, was once convicted and imprisoned for smuggling illegal immigrants into the country from Mexico. The revelation that Lee had once smuggled illegals contrasts sharply with a hate-filled manifesto he left behind in which he describes illegal immigrants as “disgusting filth” and their children as “anchor baby filth.” As his smuggling history came to light, new details emerged about Lee’s deadly confrontation with police on Wednesday.
